6h later, I am awake; what is my life >.> SO TIRED.
My 5th grade PE teacher forbid me to ever in my life to a cartwheel again after she saw me doing one, because apparently I turn really weirdly and she was scared I break my spine or something. I LIKED. NO MORE OF THAT SHIT! :D I just don't get gymnastics. Why do people do it? It's not even pretty, not even on TV. I don't get it. My traumatic experience was in 3rd grade, we had a substitute teacher for PE, she set the height of the ~uneven bars to the average 4th grader height and I was very very tiny (still am). We had to get on the low one, then do some kind of squat-jump over the high one. Of course I got my feet caught in the top one and fell face first onto the floor. (there was only a thin mat). Since then I have not even gone close such a thing, rather risked an F for not doing it. I also hate the beam, but for no reason, actually. I just don't like it.
Hahaha, I've wanted to be a linguistics major since.. forever. Just before I started university I thought about taking Social Studies, too, but I looked at the lectures and it was too much do not want (it was also on the ugly campus. now I am on the pretty one~). THERE ARE SO MANY NUMBERS BASED THINGS THAT ARE BETTER THAN CHEMISTRY. ACTUALLY ALL THE THINGS ARE BETTER THAN CHEMISTRY. >.> Our calculators had Math Errors and Syntax Errors. I HATED IT THAT IF YOU GOT SYNTAX ERROR, THE WHOLE EQUATION WAS DELETED AND YOU HAD TO PUT IN EVERYTHING AGAIN. GAH. Yes, Phono is the sounds, it is super boring, because there's only so much to say and it's certainly not enough for a whole semester, let alone two (you have to take two of Syntax/Semantics/Phono II. I am not taking Phono II.). Basque is an isolated language that is spoken in the north of Spain and south of France, it has a ton of cases and looks very funny. It sounds very harsh, but I like it. You can't mix it up with other languages because it's not related to anything. So in some kind it's ~similar to Catalan, not language-wise, but its situation; it's an official language in Basque Country and - I think - the European Union. And most people haven't heard of them unless they've studied Spanish or know much about Spain :D Catalan is seen as a language in the European Union (means that stewardesses get extra money if they speak it), same for Gallego. I wouldn't say it's just a dialect because dialects usually don't have a that much different grammar from the ~original language. The words are 80% derivable (?) from Spanish / French. And if you know Spanish grammar, you shouldn't have too many problems. I'd probably call Andalusian a dialect of Spanish, but then I don't know too much about Andalusian. /o\ Spanish learning times is so long ago :(
